Elevate Your Appetizer Game with this Simple Recipe for Herb Lemon Goat Cheese Spread

Cheese is one of my favorite food groups. ;) I try not to eat it too often, but man, is it deeeelish! And if I can excuse my cheese eating away because there are wellness-boosting ingredients mixed in, then that makes me feel like a winner, winner, goat cheese dinner. Hahaaaaaa.

A Note on Safety: Please only use glass or stainless steel bowls and utensils while cooking with essential oils; never use plastic. We can also only recommend ingesting Young Living's pure essential oils from the Vitality line (labeled for ingestion and use as dietary supplements) that are GRAS by the FDA. Other oils and brands may contain ingredients harmful to your health.

Ingredients:

  • 5 ounces (about 3/4 cup) soft fresh goat cheese, room temperature

  • 1 drop Thyme Young Living Vitality essential oil

  • 1 drop Lemon Young Living Vitality essential oil

  • 1 teaspoons grated lemon peel

  • 1 garlic clove, minced

  • 5 teaspoons olive oil

  • 16 French-bread baguette slices, toasted


Directions:

Place goat cheese in small bowl. Mix essential oils, lemon peel, and garlic in another small bowl; season to taste with ground black pepper or Black Pepper Vitality essential oil. Mix half of your Thyme mixture into the goat cheese. Add the olive oil to remaining half of the Thyme mixture. Form cheese into 2 1/2-inch round; flatten slightly. Place in center of plate. Spoon oil-garlic mixture over top of cheese. Surround cheese with baguette slices or veggies and serve.

There are lots of variations of this you can go on to make with different essential oils and fresh ingredients.
